Prices of both non-grain oriented electrical steel and grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China kept the downward trend during this month on weak customer demand and the decrease in steel mills' list prices. Major steel mills such as Baosteel and WISCO announced to reduce their list prices of NGO electrical steel produced in November. Although October was the traditionally high season, downstream customers were mostly purchasing materials for urgent need and the market sales performance did not become better. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders refused to build large stockpiles and the market inventory was relatively low.
