Prices of 201 grade stainless HRC and CRC, and 304 grade stainless HRC and CRC saw a downward trend during this month on weak customer demand, while those of 430 grade stainless CRC, 300 series stainless steel bar and 304 grade stainless seamless pipe went up mainly supported by the high purchase cost. Although October was the traditionally high season, downstream customers were mostly purchasing materials for urgent need and the market sales performance continued to be unsatisfying. Because of the high purchase cost and weak customer demand, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles.
