After Chinese National Day, steel mills in North China did not enlarge operation much due to increasing air pollution in North and East China. Supply of imported iron ore continued increasing with major mines increasing production in global markets. Prices of both Chinese origin and imported iron ore decreased significantly in most regions in the month.
