MEE: No compulsory shift-peak production in this autumn-winter period

On October 29, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) held a regular press conference. Liu Youbin, a spokesperson, said that MEE firmly opposed "one-size-fit- all" policy. In this year's action plan for tackling key problems in autumn and winter, there were no requirements for compulsory shift-peak production, large-scale shutdown, etc. The Ministry firmly opposed such perfunctory measures as "all shut down", "stop first before any explanation". Air pollution prevention and control in autumn and winter shall be done well in strict accordance with laws and regulations.
