India initiated anti-susidy investigation on Indonesian flat rolled stainless steel products

On October 18, 2019, the Ministry of Commerce and industry of India issued a notice saying that, at the joint application submitted by three enterprises in India and the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association, an anti subsidy investigation should be conducted on the flat rolled stainless steel products originating or imported from Indonesia. Products under Indian customs codes 7219 and 7220 are involved. The products involved in the case do not include blade grade steel used in the production of razors and stainless steel used in the production of coin blanks (customs code 73269099). The subsidy investigation period of this case is from April 2018 to March 2019, the damage investigation period is from 2015 to 2016, 2016 to 2017, 2017 to 2018 and the subsidy investigation period.
