China unveils ninth list on recommended new energy auto modes

On October 15, 2019, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Department of China unveiled at its official website No. 324 batch of announcements on Road Vehicle Manufacturing Companies and Products. One of the announcements is the List on Recommended New Energy Autos (the ninth list in 2019). Of the total 86 manufacturing companies and their total 240 auto modes on the ninth list, there are 77 companies and their 193 auto modes in pure electric auto category, 11 companies and 21 auto modes in plug-in hybrid power category, and 11 companies and 26 auto modes in fuel battery category.
In terms of battery technology, of the total auto modes announced this time autos equipped with LFP battery accounted for 154 or 64.1%; autos equipped with LNCMO battery accounted for 42 or 17.5%; and the rest were 25 hydrogen-battery equipped autos, 8 LMO-battery equipped and 1 lithium-titanate-battery equipped autos.
In terms of battery producer, of nearly 25 battery producers included into the list there are 104 auto modes equipped with batteries produced by CATL, a record far higher than other battery producers; and Lishen Battery, EVE Energy, BYD, Cyan Power and Guoxuan Hightech are also the first-rank battery producers in the list.
