Wolaidi Metal Materials starts pilot production of 1,780mm steckel mill project

On October 18, 2019, the 1,780mm steckel mill project of Wolaidi Metal Materials Co., Ltd. produced the first batch of products in Shizong of Yunnan, marking the success of its heat load pilot production.
Based on the 600,000tpy stainless steel capacity of Yunan Tiangao Nickel, Wolaidi plans to build the 1,780mm stainless steel hot-rolled project to transform and upgrade the existing stainless steel slab production, extend industrial chain, increase added value and enhance market competitiveness. With a total investment of RMB720 million (USD102 million), the project will build a 600,000tpy hot rolled production line, a 300,000tpy annealing and acid pickling production and a 300,000tpy cold rolled production line and stainless steel welded pipe and clad plate production line.
