Jigang starts to construct steel scrap base in Rizhao

According to information from the official Wechat account of Shandong Iron and Steel Group, Jigang Urban Minerals Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jigang Group, started to construct the project for comprehensive utilization of Jigang's metal resources in Donggang of Rizhao recently, which aims at transformational development and is planned to be put into operation in the second quarter of 2020.
It is said that the project will invest and build a metal scrap processing base in Rizhao and the construction work includes production lines for crushing, cutting and packing, the storage and delivery of steel scrap and other facilities that are required for refined processing of steel scrap. After completion, the project will supply high-quality steel scrap to Shandong Iron and Steel Group Rizhao Company and adjacent steel enterprises. The designed production capacity for phase I of the project is 1 million tons and another 1 million tons will be added in phase II.
