Recently, in accordance with the development need, JISCO decided to establish a mining research institute.
The mining research institute is mainly responsible for carrying out on-site exploration, geological investigation, technical and economic analysis and evaluation of development and utilization of the target mineral resources, providing basis for the decision-making of the group company, and providing follow-up technical support for the implementation of resource development; responsible for the project approval review and technical demonstration of mining exploration, infrastructure construction, new reconstruction and expansion projects, and providing technical support for the preparation of mining (stripping) plan. The institute is responsible for the investigation and evaluation of the development and utilization of the group's mineral resources; responsible for the technical innovation and technological breakthrough of the mining of mineral resources, providing technical support and technical reserves for building a safe, efficient, low-cost and intelligent green mine; and responsible for supporting the group's strategic cooperation (cooperation) of mineral resources, disposal of non-performing mineral resources and other decisions . It also is responsible for research on the utilization of mineral resources, the application of new technologies and new processes, the research and utilization of the surrounding refractory iron ore resources, and the promotion of the utilization value of the group's iron ore, non-ferrous metals, coal and other mineral resources.
Besides, registered as a branch of JISCO, the institute contracts geological exploration, technical consultation and other businesses.
