KuangdianXinfa resumes ferroboron production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Oct 19 - As one of major ferroboron producers in China, Kuandian Xinfa Boron Alloys Co., Ltd. based in Liaoning resumed ferroborn production in early October, disclosed a source from the company.
"As we're almost running out of previous inventory in last September and the temperature is down, we resumed one furnace to produce ferroboron 18% from early October, and our current daily output is about 10t," disclosed the source from the company last Friday. The source revealed that they couldn't finish all the concluded orders until late October, and their current offer of ferroboron B 18% C 0.5%max is around RMB17,500/t (USD2460/t) EXW D/P.
With an annual capacity of ferroboron about 5,000t, the producer suspended production in September for a whole month, and plans to produce 300t in October, keeping around 50t of stocks now. They own one furnace of 6,300KVA.
Due to the decresed inventories from producers, current mainstream prices of ferroboron B 18% C 0.5%max in China hover at RMB16,700-17,200/t (USD2,348-2,418/t) EXW D/P, up by RMB200/t (USD28/t) from early last week. Insiders believe prices of ferroboron B 18% C 0.5%max in China would keep stable amid the sluggish demand in the following week.
