Huangshan launches public supervision on iron and steel industry

Huangshan Bureau of Economic and Information Technology announced on October 10 that a citywide social supervision will be launched targeting iron and steel industry. According to the announcement, Huangshan will take strict measures to crack down illegal and unregulated production capacity and to draw a clear picture of the basic situation of the city's iron and steel industry. Based on the thorough survey conducted in the third quarter 2019, the updated and improved basic information about 12 steel (casting) companies is made public by the city government who calls for supervision from all sectors of society. Companies that caught producing substandard steel products would face severe punishment.
