Eurasian Economic Commission announces final decision on imported galvanized steel products from China

On October 7, 2019, Eurasian Economic Commission issued Announcement No. 2019/188/AD26, which affirmed final anti-dumping decisions on imported galvanized steel products originating in China and Ukraine. It concluded that there was dumping of galvanized steel products from China and Ukraine, which caused substantial damage to related industries in the Eurasian Economic Union region. At the same time, there was a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damage. Therefore, it is proposed to impose an anti-dumping duty equivalent to 12.69%-17.00% on the enterprises involved in the case in China, and 23.90% on the Ukrainian ILICH IRON & STEEL WORKS, MARIUPOL (International Mining and Metallurgical Group) and other Ukrainian producers for a period of five years. The product tax numbers involved are 7210490001, 7210490009, 7210610000, 7212300000, 7212506100 and 7225920000.
Stakeholders should submit their comments on the case to the InternalMarket Protection Division of the Eurasian Economic Commission by 21 October2019 (including).
