Jiyuan Iron and Steel's part of production facilities sealed

At 16p.m. of October 1, Environmental Protection Bureau of Jiyuan sealed part of production facilities of Jiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., strictly implementing the requirements of heavy pollution weather orange warning and control.
According to Ministry of Ecology and Environment's Technical Guidelines of Emergency Management and Control for Heavy Pollution Weather in Key Industries and the inspection comments on Jiyuan's emergency management and control list from the provincial office for prevention and control of pollution, Jiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. should have suspended all the sintering work during the heavy pollution weather orange warning period. However, the company didn't implement management and control measures and resumed sintering production without permission. To make sure that every order is executed without fail, Environmental Protection Bureau of Jiyuan sealed the company's 1# sintering machine and two shaft furnaces to strictly control its resumption time and asked the company to investigate responsibility, submit documents after the heavy pollution weather orange warning is removed and make written promise. The company will be inspected; when it meets related requirements, the seizure would be removed.
