Shandong implements production restriction in many steel enterprises

On September 22, emergency team for heavy pollution weather in Shandong issued Letter for Coping with Heavy Pollution Weather from 25 to 29 September and advised 13 cities like Jinan, Zibo, Weifang and Linyi to release orange alert at zero hour of September 23 and launch emergency response at zero hour of September 24.
Many steel enterprises have received the notification and started production reduction and suspension successively. Among all these enterprises, Shandong Minyuan suspended production; Yongfeng reduced production by 30-40%; Xiwang reduced by 40-50%; Guangfu reduced by 50% and Shiheng reduced by about 15%. The period for production limitation lasts from September 23 to October 3.
