Tangshan released the notice on strengthening production restriction and emission reduction. According to the notice, from 11 September to 15 September, the city will implement stricter control measures based on management methods for September so as to minimize pollution and improve air quality.
North plant of Tangsteel and Tangyin Iron & Steel could keep one sintering machine in operation while other steel mills should close sintering machines by no less than 50%. The operating machines should run at low load by reducing speed, thinning material and restricting damper operation by 30%, and improve desulfurization and denitrification efficiency to minimize pollutant emission. The transport vehicles each day should be cut by 50% without overload and keep clean.
Coking plants should work with dry quenching coke instead of wet quenching coke.
