Trump announces delay in tariff hike against China

On the morning of September 12, U.S. President Donald Trump announced through social media that he was delaying plans to impose an additional tariff hike on USD250 billion worth of Chinese goods until October 15. U.S. tariffs on USD250 billion worth of Chinese goods were originally scheduled to rise to 30% on October 1, from the current 25%.
