1. Market Highlights
The domestic section steel market continued to run slowly during the month, amid a nationwide price decline. The high temperature and continuous rains made the progress of construction projects slow down, and the rigid demand was insufficient. Besides, as prices for raw materials such as iron ore and steel billet dropped sharply during the month, end users for section steel showed little confidence in the market prospect and were cautious about placing orders. In the meantime, prices for section steel also went down in other Asian markets during the month. It's predicted that the price for section steel might decrease further in September.
