23 iron and steel enterprises in Shandong finds 13 issues of major hidden dangers

From August 15 to August 28, Department of Emergency Management of Shandong conducted a special law enforcement inspection. According to the latest news released on September 7, the department found 686 issues in 23 iron and steel enterprises in 12 cities in Shandong, including 10 issues that were rectified and improved on site and 676 issues containing 13 issues of major hidden dangers that were asked to rectify and improve within a time limit. The department plans to make records and penalize 18 enterprises for 49 issues and asked two enterprises to halt production and rectify.
Aiming at the hidden dangers, the department asked enterprises to rectify and will supervise the solutions of hidden dangers. Besides, the department will select some province-level benchmark enterprises in iron and steel industry, organize official visits to the benchmark enterprises and learn lessons to ensure the operation and implementation of the two prevention systems. The department will continue the special activity and maintain high-pressure situation for all types of violations.
