China's lateritic nickel ore imports down by 17.6% MOM in Jun

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Sep 19 - According to statistics from China Customs, China's imported 4,276,474t of lateritic nickel ore in June 2019, down by 17.6% MOM and 2.4% YOY. The total import volume in the first half of 2019 was 20,681,219t, up by 14.3% YOY.
China imported 994,763t of lateritic nickel ore from Indonesia in June 2019, accounting for 23.3% of the total imports during the month, down by 41% MOM and 16.2% YOY. Meanwhile, China imported 3,135,434t of the material from the Philippines, accounting for 73.3% of the total imports during the month, down by 6.1% MOM while up by 2.8% YOY.
