  • Nanping city issues iron and steel industry extra-low emission transformation implementation program

    Recently, Nanping Municipal Government of Fujian issued the "notice of Nanping's iron & steel industry extra-low emission transformation implementation program", requiring newly-built (including newly relocated) iron and steel projects to meet requirements on extra-low emission.Asian Metal Copyright .Asian Metal Copyright According to the notice, existing iron and steel enterprises should carry out extra-low emission transformation successively and basically finish upgrading of all production processes, such as stock yard, sintering, pelletizing, coking, ironmaking, steelmaking, steel rolling, self-owned power plants and transportation of bulk materials and products before the end of 2025.

    As required by the notice, the transformation target and extra-low transformation plan of iron and steel enterprises should be completed before the end of 2019 for identifying key transformation projects list by year and implementing; the organized emission sources extra-low emission transformation of sintering and pelletizing processes and material storage extra-low emission of iron and steel enterprises should be basically completed by the end of 2021; the extra-low emission transformation of organized emission sources in coking, ironmaking and steelmaking and extra low transformation of materials storage should be completed by the end of 2023; the extra-low emission transformation of unorganized emission sources in other processes,  material conveying and production during all processes and transportation of bulk materials and products of iron and steel enterprises should be basically completed and pollutant emission monitoring and controlling system should be basically set up before the end of 2025.
