Hunan trains experts to ban substandard steel

On August 29, 2019, Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hunan and Development and Reform Commission of Hunan held a training meeting in Changsha for experts from iron and steel industry with the aim of banning substandard steel. 15 experts from iron and steel enterprises such as Valin Group (including Valin Xiangtan Iron and Steel, Valin LY Steel and Hengyang Valin Steel Tube) and Lengshuijiang Steel participated in the training.
Through policy interpretation, the training meeting helps experts to unify their understanding, form evaluation standards and issue experts' opinions on substandard steel. The meeting will also help to lay sound foundation to build a provincial consultation expert team and provide professional support for banning substandard steel in Hunan.
