Echeng Iron & Steel demolishes converters of 35t

On August 27, the iron and steel capacity transfer project of Echeng Iron & Steel (Echeng Steel) under Baowu launched a ceremony to demolish its converters of 35t, which is one of the major moves for Echeng Steel to transform, upgrade and promote green development.
According to the previous announcement, WISCO Echeng Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. plans to remove the existing two converters of 35t and steel-making capacity of 1.1 million tons and receive the steel-making capacity of 260,000t transferred by Baowu Group Shanghai Baosteel Co., Ltd., involving a capacity quota of 1.36 million tons for transfer. Based on the principle of amount-reducing transfer, Echeng Steel plans to build a converter of 120t and steel-making capacity of 1.35 million tons in the current plant.
