China Tower to consume about 5GWh power provided by cascade-utilization batteries in 2019

According to the semiannual report of China Tower, by late June 2019, the company had 1.954 million tower-style telecommunication stations, up by 4.0% YOY. Each of the stations has been installed with energy storing system, and their total energy-storing capacity is over 17.10GWh.
As the existing biggest consumer of cascade-utilization batteries, China Tower used about 1.5GWh power provided by cascade-utilization batteries in 2018. According to its development plan, the company plans to use about 5GWh power provided by such batteries in 2019, which means a replacement of about 150,000t of lead batteries and a consumption of over 50,000t of retired storage battery.
