146 coal mines in Shanxi ordered to stop production or construction to rectify in Jan-Jul

On August 18, the Shanxi Emergency Management Department issued a briefing by Shanxi Local Coal Mine Safety Supervision and Administration Bureau on the inspection of coal mine safety law enforcement in the whole province from January to July 2019.
According to the circular, from January to July, coal mine safety supervision departments at all levels inspected 4,352 coal mines. A total of 73,195 general hidden dangers and 167 major hidden dangers were identified. 146 coal mines were ordered to stop production or construction to rectify according to law, 89 local operations were ordered to stop, 20 pieces of equipment were ordered to stop using, and a fine of RMB13,642.879 million (USD1,931 million) was imposed.
