    1. Market Highlight

    In July, Panzhihua-based ilmenite price continued to decline slightly, with shrinking demand due to the sluggish downstream market.     In July, prices for Chinese titanium dioxide turned from dropping to stablizing and downstream consumers still took a prudent attitude on purchase, leading to few transactions. Export prices for titanium dioxide kept stable, with export volume much less than that of last year.

    As for ferrotitanium, prices for Chinese high grade ferronickel went up due to raw material titanium scrap price rising; prices for low grade ferronickel edged down as downstream industry entered off season; European ferrotitanium prices moved down; export prices of high grade ferronickel from Russian market decreased, with shrinking downstream demand.
