Nine departments in Sichuan launch a campaign to prevent pollution caused by waste lead storage batteries

According to related requirement from nine ministries including MEE (Ministry of Ecology and Environment) and NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission), nine departments in Sichuan, including Sichuan Provincial Department for Ecology and Environment and Sichuan Development and Reform Department, jointly issued the Action Plan to Prevent Pollution Caused by Waste Lead Storage Batteries recently. In accordance with the action plan, the standard collection rate of waste lead storage batteries will be over 40% by 2020 and over 70% by 2025.
