KISC announces capacity transfer

Department of industry and information technology in Yunnan announced on August 8, 2019, that the department makes a public notification for capacity transfer information of Kunming Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. from August 9, 2019 to September 5, 2019 according to requirements of Guidelines to Resolve Excess Capacity from the State Council, Guidelines to Resolve Excess Capacity and Develop from the State Council and Measures for Capacity Transfer in Iron and Steel Industry.
Kunming Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. under WISCO will totally transfer 4.41647 million tons of capacity to Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgy Co., Ltd. for the industrial upgrading and technical reform project of Shenglong Metallurgy. Shenglong Metallurgy will put 3.12 million tons of capacity into iron-making and 1.29647 million tons of capacity into steel-making.
