Liangshan county to construct rare earth circular economy industrial park

In order to encourage the development of local rare earth industry, Liangshan county of Shandong plans to construct a rare earth circular economy industrial park covering an area of 2,000mu. Urban minerals scientific innovation center, the phase II project of Zhongxi Tianma New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., will be located in this park.
Liangshan Rare Earth New Materials Circular Economy Industrial Park aims to create a comprehensive utilization and demonstration park for urban minerals. Taking advantage of new equipment, new process, new technology and new model, it will comprehensively utilize and deeply develop various high-value industrial waste, obsolete electronic equipment and dismantling waste of home appliances that are rich of rare earth, cobalt and lithium and make the most of waste heat, waste water and waste gas. The industrial park consists of six functional areas, including high-value element waste recycling, treatment and comprehensive utilization area, rare earth alloy new material preparation area, magnet material processing area, new material application area, high-value element waste trading platform and urban minerals scientific innovation center.
It's learnt that Zhongxi Tianma New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. will invest RMB200 million (USD28.47 million) totally in the phase II project, including an investment of RMB30.9 million (USD4.40 million) for environmental protection and a total construction area of 11,468 square meters. By adopting the industry leading process that is of proprietary intellectual property right and core technology, the new production line will run with full-automatic intelligent control, recycle waste heat and realize high-efficient energy-conservation pollution-free green production and clean production. After the project is completed and reaches design capacity, the company will see a newly-added sales revenue of RMB1 billion (USD0.14 billion), a profit of RMB80 million (USD11.39 million) and a tax of RMB40 million (USD5.69 million) per annum.
