China, U.S. chief trade representatives talk over phone

On the evening of 13 August, Liu He, member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, Vice Premier and chief representative of Sino-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue, talked with U.S. trade representative and Treasury Secretary over phone, during which Liu He made solemn representations to U.S. additional tariffs on Chinese goods and the two parties agreed to talk over phone again in the coming two weeks. Commerce Minister Zhong Shan, PBC President Yi Gang and NDRC Deputy Director Ning Jizhe joined the phone call.
