Steel PMI posts 47.9% in Jul

According to data released by CFLP Steel Logistics Professional Committee, steel PMI posted 47.9% in July, down by 0.3 percentage points from last month. The sub-index shows that the market demand growth slows down, the production and operation activities of enterprises have declined, the inventory of finished products has rebounded, and the purchasing activities of steel mills are also in a contraction state. Generally speaking, despite the influence of production cut policy, there is still certain oversupply in the steel market, and the steel market shows a slowing trend.
