The Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) is considering listing companies with ultra-low emissions as Class-A company which won't be required to cut or suspend production during periods of peak pollution this winter, said MEE spokesman Liu Youbin at the regular press conference on July 26.

According to Liu, MEE will continue to advance the ultra-low-emission upgrade in iron and steel industry and provide guidance on how to deal with severe air pollution based on China's Atmospheric Pollution Prevention and Control Law. Industrial companies, including iron and steel companies, won't be required by MEE to uniformly cut or suspend production.Asian Metal CopyrightThe Ministry of Ecology and Environment MEE is considering listing companies with ultra-low emissions as Class-A company which won't be required to cut or suspend production during periods of peak pollution this winter, said MEE spokesman Liu Youbin at the regular press conference on July 26.Asian Metal Copyright Local industrial companies should follow rules set by local authority.
