Taiwan makes final anti-subsidy ruling for galvanized and zinc alloy flat rolled steel in mainland China

On July 12, 2019, Taiwan's competent financial authorities issued a bulletin to make final anti-subsidy rulings on imported galvanized and zinc-alloy flat-rolled steel originating in China: Jiangsu Shagang International Trade Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Co., Ltd., Jiangyin Zongcheng Steel Co., Ltd., Baoshan Steel Co., Ltd. and WISCO Group International Economic and Trade Co., Ltd. etc. , all producers/exporters in mainland China are imposed a 51.32% subsidy. The products do not include flat rolled steel products with galvanized Al-Mg alloy and Mg content of coatings exceeding 2%. On April 16, 2018, Taiwan launched a counter-subsidy investigation into the galvanized and zinc alloy flat rolled steel in mainland China. On May 20, 2019, Taiwan made a preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on the products involved in the case in mainland China.
