MOFCOM: impose anti-dumping duties on stainless steel billets and HR plates/coils imported from the EU

On July 22, 2019, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) issued a final ruling announcement. The final ruling was that imported stainless steel billets and hot rolled stainless steel sheets/coils originating in the EU, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia were dumped
Since July 23, 2019, it has been decided to impose anti-dumping duties on imported stainless steel billets and hot rolled stainless steel sheets/coils originating in the European Union, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia. The duty rates range from 18 . 1% to 103 . 1%, with a period of five years.
In addition, the Ministry of Commerce has accepted the price commitment application of relevant Korean enterprises, and no anti-dumping duty is levied on products whose prices were not lower than the promised price.
In response to the application of domestic stainless steel billet and stainless steel hot-rolled sheet/coil industry, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement on 23 July 2018, deciding to launch an anti-dumping investigation on imported stainless steel billet and stainless steel hot-rolled sheet/coil originating in the EU, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.
After filing the case, the Ministry of Commerce conducted an investigation strictly in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of China and the relevant rules of WTO. On the basis of the preliminary investigation, the preliminary affirmative ruling of the case was published on March 22, 2019 . After further investigation, the final ruling above was made.
