Iron ore exports through Hedland port up by 6% MOM in Jun

According to data released by Pilbara Ports Authority of Australia on 17 July, iron ore exports through Hedland port were 48.94 million tons, up by 6% or 2.73 million tons MOM and 3% or 1.65 million tons from 47.29 million tons in last July.
In June, the iron ore exports to China reached 42.03 million tons, up by 11% or 4.2 million tons from 37.83 million tons in May and 6% or 2.34 million tons from 39.69 million tons from the same period of last year. Except for China (including Taiwan), the exports were 6.91 million tons, accounting for 14% of the total exports, down by 4% MOM.
In June, the iron ore exports to Japan were 2.11 million tons, down by 310,000t or 13% MOM; those to South Korea were 3.64 million tons, down by 590,000t or 14% MOM, and those to Indonesia were 195,000t, down by 190,000t or 50% MOM.
