    1. Market Highlight

In June, prices for ilmenite in Panzhihua kept edging down, but downstream demand shrank due to the sluggish downstream market; prices for high titanium slag went up with increasing downstream demand and relatively tight spot supply; prices for titanium tetrachloride continued to move up with strong downstream demand; prices for titanium sponge went up and some suppliers raised quotations; some titanium mill product suppliers raised prices affected by the price rising of raw material titanium sponge, while demand from civil-purpose titanium mill products was still weak and it was hard to raise the prices.

In June, prices for Chinese titanium dioxide kept dropping and downstream consumers mostly took a prudent attitude on purchase, and suppliers were pessimistic about the future market. Export prices for titanium dioxide moved down, with export volume much less than that of last year.

As for ferrotitanium, prices for Chinese high grade ferronickel went up due to raw material titanium scrap price rising; prices for low grade ferronickel edged down as downstream industry entered off season; European ferrotitanium prices moved down; export prices of high grade ferronickel from Russian market decreased, with shrinking downstream demand.
