On 11 July, Gao Feng, spokesman of Ministry of Commerce, stated that China and the U.S. will restart trade talks on the basis of equality and mutual respect according to the consensus reached by President Xi and President Trump in Osaka. The two parties are communicating on further arrangements at present.
Recently, the U.S. decided to cancel additional tariffs on 110 types of Chinese goods. Gao Feng said that it's a normal tariff exclusion procedure of the U.S. and China has established a corresponding tariff exclusion mechanism, according to which enterprises need to file an exclusion application.
Gao Feng also emphasized that China urges the U.S. to meet its commitment indeed and stop the wrong practice of cracking down on Chinese enterprises with national power as soon as possible.
