Crude steel output up by 3.4% YOY in India from Apr to Jun

According to preliminary statistics released by JAPC on July 8th, India produced 27.73 million tons of crude steel in the first quarter of 2019-2020 fiscal year (from April to June in 2019), up by 3.4% YOY. Meanwhile, the consumption volume for the material in India was 25.19 million tons, up by 6.8% YOY.
India imported 1.72 million tons of crude steel from April to June and exported 1.02 million tons of the material at the same time, down by 9.1% and 27.3% YOY respectively.
