Tianshui in Gansu to undertake part of steel production capacity of Tianjin

On June 13, the party secretary and mayor of Tianshui, along with officials of departments for industry and information technology, natural resources and development zone and Gangu, visited Tianjin Pipe (Group) Corporation (TPCO) and Tianjin Giant Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and made on-the-spot inspection on the green project of short process for electric furnace steelmaking. They discussed about the implementation of this project in Tianshui with leaders of the two companies and reached preliminary consensus.
TPCO is a large enterprise group that integrates the production of seamless steel pipe and welded pipe, equipment manufacturing and copper processing together, with an annual output of 3.5 million tons of seamless pipe. Tianjin Giant Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. is a specialized enterprise in large heavy industries, with an annual output of large steel castings 50,000 tons and large forgings 100,000 tons. With an annual output of 2.2 million tons of steel and 2 million tons of rod products, Tianjin Tianfeng Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is one of the backbone enterprises in Tainjin Youfa Steel Pipe Group which is one of the top 500 enterprises.
