Phase 1 of Tangshan Ganglu Iron & Steel's cold rolling project into production

With an annual production capacity of 2 million tons, phase one of the cold rolling project in Tangshan Ganglu Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was announced formal operation on June 10. The phase one has a total investment of RMB1.45 billion (USD210 million) and constructed an acid continuous rolling production line and necessary accessories. The design and main devices of this project adopted leading technologies and advanced devices in this field at home and abroad.
After completion, the project can produce cold rolled plate, galvanized plate, galvalume plate, annealed strip and other excellent terminal products; the daily output could reach 3,500t. The products are mainly used in automobile panels, colored steel plate for home appliances and high-end building template. The project will strategically promote the product structure, effectively boost the convergence and development of industrial chain and fill Tangshan's blank in high-end cold rolled and galvanized products.
