NTPC's production target of 10.4 million tons of owned coal mine in fiscal year 2019-2020

Recently, NTPC, India's largest power company, set coal production target of 10.4 million tons of its own coal mine in the fiscal year 2019-2020 (April 2019-March 2020).
NTPC announced that the company's MOU with the Indian Ministry of Power set the coal production target for the current fiscal year, and also set its power generation target of 310 million kWh this fiscal year. Capital expenditures for the current fiscal year were approximately USD2.85 billion.
In the fiscal year 2018-2019, NTPC established an independent mining department for the company's owned coal mines, with a coal output of 6.8 million tons, meeting the total installed capacity of 55,100 MW of coal-fired power generation requirement.
An official of NTPC said that the company plans to increase the production of Pakri-Barwadih Dulanga coal mine in the short term, to achieve more coal mine in production next year, and to guarantee the supply of its owned coal mine accounting for 33% of the company's thermal coal demand by 2030.
