Chinese stainless steel prices kept the downward trend during this month on lower raw material costs and the decrease in steel mills' list prices. Nevertheless, seeing the continuous price decrease, customers without urgent need for materials were expecting the price to go down further and refusing to place orders. Many traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders do not think the market would improve in the coming month on weak customer demand.
