Shanxi to rectify illegal sewage discharge

On May 31, Department of Ecology and Environment of Shanxi Province issued the "Notice on rectification of illegal sewage discharge" (hereinafter referred to as "Notice"), and requires cities to concentrate on self-examination and self-correction of environmental problems within one month, to carry out comprehensive rectification of illegal sewage discharge from July 1.

According to the Notice, the major responsibilities of enterprises shall be implemented; development environment for enterprises shall be improved; self-examination and self-correction shall be comprehensively conducted; illegal sewage discharge shall be severely punished.
