Energy Bureau approves three coal mine projects

The State Energy Administration issued a notice on May 31, approving three coal mine projects, including Beixinyao Coal Mine Project and Lingbei Coal Mine Project in Shanxi, and Songxinzhuang Coal Mine Project in Ningxia. The three coal mine projects are all coal capacity replacement projects with a combined annual capacity of 7.6 million tons.
Beixinyao Coal Mine Project, located in Ningwu County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is undertaken by Datong Coal Mine Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB5.333 billion (USD772.14 million) (excluding mining rights expenses). The capacity of the mine is 4 million tons per year, and a coal preparation plant with an annual capacity of 10 million tons will also be built.
Lingbei Coal Mine Project, located in Lingshi County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, is in the charge of Shanxi Fenxi Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., with a total investment of RMB3.045 billion (USD440.84 million) (excluding mining rights expenses). The capacity of Lingbei Coal Mine is 2.4 million tons per year, and a coal preparation plant with the same capacity will also be constructed.
Songxinzhuang Coal Mine Project is located in Yanchi County, Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, with a total investment of RMB1.64 billion (USD237.43 million) (excluding mining rights). Sinopec Great Wall Energy and Chemical (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. is responsible for the project. The capacity of the mine is 1.2 million tons per year, and the coal preparation plant with the same capacity will also be built.
