Mechel's raw coal output from Jan to Mar down by 29.1% YOY

According to the quarterly operating data recently released by Mechel, a leader in mining industry in Russia, the output of the company's raw coal from January to March was 3.52 million tons, down by 29.1% from 4.965 million tons in the same period last year.
In the first quarter, the output of raw coal in Elga, operated by Mechel, was 845kt, down by 29.4% from 1.197 million tons in the same period last year.
From January to March, Mechel sold 3.449 million tons of coal, down by 10.5% from 3.853 million tons in the same period last year.
From January to March, Elga sold 806kt of coal, down by 5.5% from 853kt in the same period last year.
