On the evening of May 26, Kailong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. announced that its holding subsidiary Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "ASP") terminated the cadmium telluride thin-film solar cell module project due to the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Provincial Environmental Protection Department, as well as the significant adjustment of the national photovoltaic power generation policy.
According to the announcement, ASP plans to build two production lines with an annual capacity of 40MW cadmium telluride thin-film solar cell module and supporting facilities in two phases, with a total investment of RMB550 million (USD79.65 million). The project has completed preliminary construction design, land leveling, wall construction, ect.
