KISC to relocate for transformation

KISC held a ceremony for environmental protection relocation project on 21 May in Caopu new area of KISC. The project and suppotive rails are expected to be invested with RMB12 billion with construction period of two years. The project includes one pellet production line of 2.6 million tons, one sintering machine of 450m2, one blast furnace of 2,500m3, two converters of 120t and refining and casting systems. The stock yard would be expanded with a 950,000tpy rolling mill production line, an 800,000tpy aluminum rod line, a 550,000tpy high-speed wire line and a 450,000tpy high-speed wire line. The area would see an annual production capacity of 5.4 million tons of steel and annual sales income of more than RMB20 billion with tax of more than RMB2 billion.
