A representative from Ombudsman Office in Peru said that residents in an aboriginal Peruvian community Nueva Fuerabamba decided to make new road blockades on Las Bambas copper mine of MMG, which is caused by the failed negotiation on compensation between the company and residents.
The representative of Ombudsman Office cited a document of Peruvian government officials that residents in Fuerabamba plan to start the new round of blockade on this mine at local midnight on Tuesday.
These government officials participated in the negotiation on compensation issue between Fuerabamba community and MMG, working as mediators. However, the negotiation ended with no solutions but depression.
