All heavy-polluted companies in urban areas to be relocated in Yinchuan, Ningxia

According to Yinchuan Government of Ningxia, in order to improve the ecological environment and force industrial transformation and upgrading, Yinchuan will carry out the relocation of existing heavy polluted enterprises in built-up urban areas in batches. Among them, enterprises with significant ecological environment risks and strong public reflection will start to move out of the city by the end of 2019.
Besides, the existing heavy-polluted enterprises in the urban built-up areas of Yinchuan's counties (cities) and districts, such as iron and steel, nonferrous metals, paper-making, printing and dyeing, raw material drug manufacturing, cement, chemical industry and other heavy-polluted and outstanding potential ecological hazards companies, should start to relocate before the end of 2020, and complete the relocation by the end of 2025. Enterprises that fail to complete the relocation as planned will be closed down in accordance with the law, except those the government approves the delayed relocation.
While organizing and implementing the relocation work, the city will vigorously promote industrial optimization, transformation and upgrading, encourage relocation and merger and reorganization, technological transformation, industry benchmarking and elimination of backward production capacity, accelerate the elimination of backward production technology, equipment and products, promote the construction of digital workshops, intelligent factories and intelligent parks, and promote the integration of industrialization and information technology.
