ICSG: global refined copper surplus reaches 74,000t in Feb

According to the monthly report released by International Copper Study Group (ICSG) on May 20, the surplus in global refined copper market reached 74,000t in February 2019, but the supply deficit in January was 33,000t.
ICSG noted that the surplus in global refined copper market reached 41,000t in the first two months of this year, with 43,000t in the same period of last year. The global output of refined copper in February was 1 . 83 million tons with consumption volume of 1 . 76 million tons.
The report said that the copper inventory surplus in Chinese bonded areas was 139,000t in February 2019 with a shortage of 13,000t in January.
