Coal exports in the U.S. up by 37.4% YOY in Mar

According to data released by the United States National Statistics Bureau, coal exports of the country reached 8.3 million tons in March, up by 37.4% YOY but down by 2.2% MOM.
In March, American metallurgical coal exports reached 5 million tons, sharply up by 53.1% from February and up by 10.4% YOY, hitting a record high since October 2018.
In March, American bituminous coal exports reached 2.9 million tons, down by 17.8% YOY but up by 10.6% MOM, lower than 3 million tons for two consecutive months. All monthly bituminous coal exports of the U.S. exceeded 3 million tons in 2018.
